i have a 2000 ford mustang i need rotors in the front but brakes for all tires about how much would it cost????
A: figure around $200 labor and front rotors around $45 each and the front pads about $50 and the rears around $40. The book gives us an hour per axle.

am i better off, overall, getting a 2002 v6 automatic camaro or a 95 5.0 v8 5spd stang? both with almost same miles on it. explain your choice in your opinion please
A: Depends on what you want to do with the car. I would want the fox body. There are a ton of aftermarket go-fast parts for the 5.0. But thats just me…I could car less about fuel mileage, I just like to go fast.

and I want it to be carburated, how should I build it? I want a quick street car that can run in the low 13’s high 12’s. The stang was a 2.3L.
A: Turbo out the 2.3L, beef up the internals. We have a couple of Pintos in the area that run the ΒΌ mile in the 10’s with their 2.3Ls then they drive home. The mustang SVO was a 2.3L.

The website shows how to solve it, but I’m having a ‘hard!’ time trying to find it anywhere. Names I’ve tried. Fuel filler gasket, Fuel Filler Rubber, Oring, etc…
My mechanic said that rubber piece is all I need, its ed and rotted a bit. So gas leaks, what a wastes of pure gold.

Q: ford transmisson for a stang?
i want a tranny for my ‘93 stang im putting a built 302 in it (its a four banger right now) i can drive stick but i really want an auto wat other cars had the 302 with an auto trans any help would be greatly appriciated
A: Automatics are FAR superior transmissions to manuals once modified. The best auto transmission for your car would not be the aod, but the 1998 AODE. Its internals are much stronger, and starting in 98, parts were updated. I had a 98 mustang with an auto and it chirped the tires shifting 1-2 and 2-3, better than my 5 speed 325i with about twice the power of the stang.
The 3.8 and the 5.0 have the same transmission bolt pattern. The 4.6 will not be compatable.
Q: So if you cant bolt a chevy 350 to a ford trans, will a chevy 350 and a 400 trans go in a mid 80s stang easy?
A: there is plenty of room, but you would need to fabricate mounts, and probably a set of tube headers…at the very least….

A: mostly just spring rates…and exterior and interior trim…also sway bar diamater …

Ford is putting the 5.0L engine back in the stang and its going to be faster then the SS Camaro and the Srt8 Charger and have a better hp/lbs ratio then them. How great are the 2011 stangs going to be

A: You can find plenty of them in the 99-04 body style. On autotrader.com right now, there are 8 2005-2009 Ford Mustang GT’s in the entire country for under $10,000. They are all totalled cars or have salvage titles. Sorry.

A: all mustangs are good imo. the new style and the previous body style like from ‘99-’0′7should fit u well…older ones may be beaten up by leadfoot drivers ..so go newer

Ive been saving my money since the week after my 14th bithday for the perfect car (or as perfect as you can get on a part-time minimum wage salary.) And i’ve got about 15 grand right now. My 16h b-day is in a few weeks and I wanna get a black ‘67 mustang. I already had my twin broter(he biult HIS car from scratch. It’s awesome) check the stang-in-question out. He says the car’s in good shape. But now I can’t help but wonder, should I really get this for my FIRST CAR? I mean it’s a pretty big deal and I don’t want to regret buying it 2 month’s from now. I guess my question is, do you think I should get the mustang? Have any of you had any expitence with a ‘67 mustang? If so do you recammend it?

A: Im 16 male that is such a badass car i was looking into old mustang to! But i live in Houston and dad finally made me realize how bad it would be. First a car like that is powerful and heavy and hard to control no power steering or anything. . Then gas is HORRIBLE. Repairs will come allot. Is it stick or Auto because if it stick Good luck going up ramps and such. and the worst reason no Airbags and its RWD unless you are a REALLY good rookie driver you are gunna slide off the road in rain. Its a dream car of many people but more of a collectors item Nice car when your 50 but not 16 But if you think you can handle it go for it

Because I have a stock 95 Ford Mustang and I don’t have exhaust pipes on it. just the stock muffler will the V6 Dual Exhaust Adapter Kit make it have a sound to it?
A: Depending on the muffler choice it will. But sounding louder and sounding better are two different things. Don’t expect it to sound like a V8.

Buy a used ‘Vette. You can’t afford the upkeep on a Maserati or NSX.

I was looking at the Ford Racing 7.5″ 28 Spline Traction – LOK Limited Slip Differential to put in my 2000 V6 Stang, but i thought i heard somewhere of them breaking easily and not being able to handle a beating (do-nuts, burn outs, drifting =P) If you know anything about these please share.
It’s either get this, or get a 8.8 rear assembly off an Explorer or a wrecked Mustang.

A: The Trac-lok isn’t the greatest LSD around, but it’s cheap and easy to rebuild. The clutch packs usually wear out around 60k-90k miles depending on how hard you run the car. I would look for a Eaton or a Torsen LSD instead, but unless you’re running some sort of forced induction, you car doesn’t really produce enough power to warrant an LSD anyway.
