Q: how much does it cost for rotors and brakes? 00 ford stang?
i have a 2000 ford mustang i need rotors in the front but brakes for all tires about how much would it cost????

A: figure around $200 labor and front rotors around $45 each and the front pads about $50 and the rears around $40. The book gives us an hour per axle.

Q: chevy camaro or ford stang?
am i better off, overall, getting a 2002 v6 automatic camaro or a 95 5.0 v8 5spd stang? both with almost same miles on it. explain your choice in your opinion please

A: Depends on what you want to do with the car. I would want the fox body. There are a ton of aftermarket go-fast parts for the 5.0. But thats just me…I could car less about fuel mileage, I just like to go fast.

Q: OK you Ford Mustang fans. If I wanted to build up a 302 for a 1989 stang’?
and I want it to be carburated, how should I build it? I want a quick street car that can run in the low 13’s high 12’s. The stang was a 2.3L.

A: Turbo out the 2.3L, beef up the internals. We have a couple of Pintos in the area that run the ¼ mile in the 10’s with their 2.3Ls then they drive home. The mustang SVO was a 2.3L.

Otherwise, use several of the standard answers you’ve received.

Q: My 97 Stang “Ford Mustang” is leaking gas! Help!?
http://forums.stangnet.com/748604-how-replace-fuel-filler-tube-gasket-pics.html

The website shows how to solve it, but I’m having a ‘hard!’ time trying to find it anywhere. Names I’ve tried. Fuel filler gasket, Fuel Filler Rubber, Oring, etc…

My mechanic said that rubber piece is all I need, its ed and rotted a bit. So gas leaks, what a wastes of pure gold.

Help!
Where can I find this part ‘online’? More than one location would be nice. Amazon, ebay, etc.., please put links to it, I’m in pain. Wasted gas!…

A: http://k-mansparts.com/items/mustang/ford-mustang-fuel-filler-neck-grommet-1979-to-1997-f4zz9072-da-detail.htm

http://www.dallasmustang.com/page/products.php?product=7649

http://www.laurelmountainmustangparts.com/store/1979-1997-mustang-fuel-filler-neck-grommet-p-370.html?osCsid=78f65f15a2b54d5cd96e6b43cc6cd551

Or your local Ford dealer.

Q: ford transmisson for a stang?
i want a tranny for my ‘93 stang im putting a built 302 in it (its a four banger right now) i can drive stick but i really want an auto wat other cars had the 302 with an auto trans any help would be greatly appriciated

A: Automatics are FAR superior transmissions to manuals once modified. The best auto transmission for your car would not be the aod, but the 1998 AODE. Its internals are much stronger, and starting in 98, parts were updated. I had a 98 mustang with an auto and it chirped the tires shifting 1-2 and 2-3, better than my 5 speed 325i with about twice the power of the stang.

The 3.8 and the 5.0 have the same transmission bolt pattern. The 4.6 will not be compatable.

Q: So if you cant bolt a chevy 350 to a ford trans, will a chevy 350 and a 400 trans go in a mid 80s stang easy?

A: there is plenty of room, but you would need to fabricate mounts, and probably a set of tube headers…at the very least….

Q: what is the difference between the 73 ford mustang models?
i have a modified 73 stang hard top it has a ford 351 cid v8 engine inside i was wondering what other differences existed between say this model and a mach1 or fastback version

A: mostly just spring rates…and exterior and interior trim…also sway bar diamater …

Q: will a chevy 350 engine fit in my 65 mustang with a ford 289? What would I have to change to get a running car
no hating on putting a chevy in a ford or having a mustang please. im tired of it.

My friend has a rebuilt performance chevy 350 and hes selling it cheap and i need to get my stang running. What would need to be done? What parts are compatible/incompatible?

A: no!!! i have tryied it it did not fit plus if it did it would run crapy .
a ford mustang is to nice to do that

                   KEEP IT A FORD MUSTANG
CHEVYS SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Q: Is everyone else as excited about the 2011 ford mustang gt as I am?
Ford is putting the 5.0L engine back in the stang and its going to be faster then the SS Camaro and the Srt8 Charger and have a better hp/lbs ratio then them. How great are the 2011 stangs going to be
Also faster and better hp/lbs ratio then the dodge srt8 challenger as well

A: YES!!
I’m very excited and we are starting to put in our orders now.
Even those that don’t need the extra power are excited because Ford is offering big incentives on the 2010’s to make room for the 2011’s

It’s a win-win situation for everybody!.. except maybe the ‘competition’… )

Q: Is there any Ford Mustangs under $10,000 that are used?
I was looking for a used Ford Mustang, preferably a GT convertible, 2005 or greater, in gray. My mom says that if I attend the community college next year (after i graduate high school), then she will get me a mustang to replace my crappy ‘02 ford explorer. I have wanted a stang since I was like 5, so yeah…

A: You can find plenty of them in the 99-04 body style. On autotrader.com right now, there are 8 2005-2009 Ford Mustang GT’s in the entire country for under $10,000. They are all totalled cars or have salvage titles. Sorry.

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/searchresults.jsp?num_records=25&search_lang=en&page_location=findacar%3A%3Aispsearchform&search_type=both&distance=0&address=75028&marketZipError=false&style_flag=1&make=FORD&model=MUST&make2=&start_year=2005&end_year=2008&min_price=&max_price=10000&seller_type=b&transmission=&engine=8+Cylinder&drive=&doors=&fuel=&max_mileage=&color=&keywordsrep=&keywordsfyc=&keywords_display=&sort_type=priceDESC&body_code=0&certified=&advanced=y&highlightFirstMakeModel=&showZipError=n&default_sort=priceDESC&awsp=false&systime=&sownerid=553450&rdm=1245552074412

Q: What is the best year and model Ford to buy?
I will be a beginning driver and I’m looking for a ’stang. Any advice?

A: all mustangs are good imo. the new style and the previous body style like from ‘99-’0′7should fit u well…older ones may be beaten up by leadfoot drivers ..so go newer

Q: Would you say a 1967 ford mustang is a good first car for a 15 year old girl?
Ive been saving my money since the week after my 14th bithday for the perfect car (or as perfect as you can get on a part-time minimum wage salary.) And i’ve got about 15 grand right now. My 16h b-day is in a few weeks and I wanna get a black ‘67 mustang. I already had my twin broter(he biult HIS car from scratch. It’s awesome) check the stang-in-question out. He says the car’s in good shape. But now I can’t help but wonder, should I really get this for my FIRST CAR? I mean it’s a pretty big deal and I don’t want to regret buying it 2 month’s from now. I guess my question is, do you think I should get the mustang? Have any of you had any expitence with a ‘67 mustang? If so do you recammend it?

Thanks in advance for your help.

A: Im 16 male that is such a badass car i was looking into old mustang to! But i live in Houston and dad finally made me realize how bad it would be. First a car like that is powerful and heavy and hard to control no power steering or anything. . Then gas is HORRIBLE. Repairs will come allot. Is it stick or Auto because if it stick Good luck going up ramps and such. and the worst reason no Airbags and its RWD unless you are a REALLY good rookie driver you are gunna slide off the road in rain. Its a dream car of many people but more of a collectors item Nice car when your 50 but not 16 But if you think you can handle it go for it

Q: Im putting a V6 Dual Exhaust Adapter Kit in my 95 stang will it make my stang louder and have sound to it?
Because I have a stock 95 Ford Mustang and I don’t have exhaust pipes on it. just the stock muffler will the V6 Dual Exhaust Adapter Kit make it have a sound to it?

A: Depending on the muffler choice it will. But sounding louder and sounding better are two different things. Don’t expect it to sound like a V8.

Q: I have $25,000 to buy a nice car, what route should I go?
I need a new car that is a real eye catcher (my Ford stang just is not doing it) plus I want to get somthing Sleek looking for when I pick up dates. I could get a Acura NSX, 2002 Maserati Coupe, etc? What should I get? I really want to stand out.

A: A little vain aren’t we?

Buy a used ‘Vette. You can’t afford the upkeep on a Maserati or NSX.

Q: How reliable is the Ford Racing 7.5″, 28 Spline Traction Limited Slip Differential?
I was looking at the Ford Racing 7.5″ 28 Spline Traction – LOK Limited Slip Differential to put in my 2000 V6 Stang, but i thought i heard somewhere of them breaking easily and not being able to handle a beating (do-nuts, burn outs, drifting =P) If you know anything about these please share.

It’s either get this, or get a 8.8 rear assembly off an Explorer or a wrecked Mustang.

Thanks

A: The Trac-lok isn’t the greatest LSD around, but it’s cheap and easy to rebuild. The clutch packs usually wear out around 60k-90k miles depending on how hard you run the car. I would look for a Eaton or a Torsen LSD instead, but unless you’re running some sort of forced induction, you car doesn’t really produce enough power to warrant an LSD anyway.

Q: 2010 mustang v6 with 0 miles for a 2011 stang v6??
Ok my mustang is being built in February & will be at the dealership in may (2010 mustang v6)

I was at the dealership & he said the 2011 is coming out he just got word today( I already knew about it) he went through everything new like hp 6 speed & whatever

You think i could trade it in almost even??
i want that 2011 it is RAW!!! hahaha
OK then how much will i be paying?? just guess

A: If the 2010 is not being built until next month, can’t your dealer cancel the order?????????????

Then you can buy the 2011.

Q: Is everyone else as excited about the 2011 ford mustang gt as I am?
Ford is putting the 5.0L engine back in the stang and its going to be faster then the SS Camaro and the Srt8 Charger and have a better hp/lbs ratio then them. How great are the 2011 stangs going to be
I’m very excited and we are starting to put in our orders now.
Even those that don’t need the extra power are excited because Ford is offering big incentives on the 2010’s to make room for the 2011’s

It’s a win-win situation for everybody!.. except maybe the ‘competition’… )

Q: 2011 Ford Mustang Pricing in one year?
I’m headed to college in the fall but I will be getting a new car in May of 2011. Can anyone give me an estimate on a ‘Stang off of a year lease (a year from this point)? If you can — I’m interested in the V6 base Automatic and the V6 Premium Automatic package (maybe with Pony Package). I’m hoping to be able to lease one for 3-4 years and under $300 per month (after a $2000 down payment)… I’m hoping this is possible because I’ll be getting it off of a year lease and cars obviously depreciate. Let me know if this is possible! This is my dream car!

Thanks!

A: First off, wait until you graduate. Second, you should not lease- because you will not get approved, since you do have any credit history. Finally, even though the car is to be supposedly leased after a year, the residual will be low, thus the lease payment will be high.

Get yourself a reasonably priced used car, and drive it til it drops.

Q: 2011 mustang v6 premium or base model?
i went to the dealer n test drove the new stang n it feel pretty dope.
im not really into speed or anything, im just into the cruising thing thats why im leaning towards the v6.
but dont know whether to get the premium or base.. im not really the leather type of guy but i really want good sound. is it worth it to pay the extra 3g for the premium for the shaker 500 or just stick with the base?

A: Dont buy what you dont want. If you dont want all the leather and junk then dont get it. The systems they put in all the mustangs have good bass and overall sound so you will be good and plus you will be cruising at 305 hp with 30 mpg. I think ur good lol

Q: 2011 Ford Mustang, what do you think?
Ford is boosting the horsepower for the 2011 Mustang. The V6 model will have 305 Hp and a dual exhaust system. Also the 2011 Mustang GT will have a 5.0 Liter 302 cubic inch V8 kicking out 415 ponies. So which would you choose?

Is a 305 hp V6 enough power for you? Way cheaper than a GT and still has lots of kick.
Or do you have the need for speed? In other words would you get a 415 hp Stang GT?
@ Alexx: Yeah, the Mustang Shelby GT is one sweet ride, but there are not many working class joes that can afford one of those ponies. Maybe if I win the lottery bud.

A: mustang has always been a great pony car. sure its battling the challenger and the camaro. but even tho those r somewhat better looking…. the new mustang is a bombshell handling is bar none and the mustang has been around forever and never disapeared while the camaro and challenger have disapeared b4 and barely been revived. camaro is stunning but visibility sucks. challenger really impressive but…. to heavy for real performance drving. if i were u depending on how much moolah u have id get the 2011 shelby mustang

Q: 2011 Mustang or 2006 350Z?
Ok I was thinkin bout gettin a used Z, I was so impressed with the value for the price, but then I saw the new V6 Mustang and was far more impressed. So if it was your money, which would you go for? The Z is about 8 grand cheaper, but then again it’s used. The stang does get slightly better mpg and performance but I donno the Z’s price is tempting. I kinda prefer the stang’s looks but…
OMG a Trans Am? Hell no, no offense, but the only thing good about that car IS the engine. Might as well be in a V8 Cavalier.
And as for my “background knowledge”, the 2011 V6 is damn near as fast as most Cobras and 300ZXs before Ford supercharged ‘em in ‘03

A: I’d get the Mustang even if its got a V6. About as fast. Don’t need to worry that someone else beat it up for 5 years. Got a warranty. Got a backseat (barely usable but still its got one).

Q: Do you prefer the new Mustangs, or the new Camaros?
Is this article accurate?

http://jalopnik.com/5362504/2011-mustang-v6-to-out+torque-camaro-v6

It doesn’t sound accurate nor fair to me. First of all, they have different figures for the V6 Mustang. In some places it says that the V6 Stang will have 305HP. In others, it says 315HP. Well, which is it?

Also, in the graph comparison, it is incorrect. The 2010 Chevy Camaro actually has 304HP, not 300. Moreover, they aren’t comparing apples and apples. They’re comparing a 2011 Ford Mustang to a 2010 Chevy Camaro. But I guess I am biased, because I like the Camaros more.

What is your opinion?

A: Regarding the next generation Mustang V6 engine, I believe it’s the Duratec 37 engine, and is expected to output 305hp.

Anyway, I definitely prefer the Camaro in either V6 or V8 form. More sophisticated tech under the hood in V6 form and good old American tech under the hood in V8 form (GM is still using good old American pushrod engine technology while Ford has sold out and gone with SOHC for most of its V8 engines). Also has a much more sophisticated suspension than Mustang.

Also, when you compare the 2, the only way Mustang wins is when you take the Shelby GT500, but it’s a supercharged beast, while the Camaro SS is naturally aspirated. If Z-28 ever comes out it’ll be supercharged and is expected to easily match anything out of Shelby or Roush. When it comes to naturally aspirated models, Camaro absolutely destroys the Mustang.

Camaro V6 = 304hp
Mustang V6 = 210hp (I know Ford is coming out with a new V6 that will push 300+hp, but it’s not out yet.)

Camaro V8 = 426hp
Mustang V8 = 315hp (Naturally Aspirated) 540hp (Supercharged)

Next years Mustang V8 is expected to be DOHC and output 400hp to finally be competitive with the Camaro V8 and Challenger V8. So GM will need to do some work on next year’s Camaro if they want to retain the performance crown in the NA category. Or they could just release the Z-28.lol

It’s a win-win situation for everybody!.. except maybe the ‘competition’… )

Q: Ford Mustang?
I got a question about my 2005 Ford Mustang (manual). When I accelerate it sounds like it is revving really high but there is no power it does then when I shift from first to second or second to third (like I should be in a lower gear but i shouldnt be). It just started doing this to me a few days ago, I am not sure what the problem is?

A: Slipping clutch. Get it checked out.

Q: ford mustang?
I want a 2005 ford mustang gt
you can find a nice one about 17-20 grand
if i wait 2 years do you think the price would go down?
and how much do you think it will cost

A: Yes the price will go down. If you wait 2 years you will be able to pick one up for around $15,000 I imagine. One thing to consider though, is that sometimes it is better to spend an extra couple of thousand of dollars to get a car with less miles on it because that way you know how the car is being taken care of and treated. For instance, if you wait a couple of years and pick one up with 50k miles, you have no idea how the car was really treated for those 50k miles. If you buy one today with 20k miles, even if it was abused for 20k miles, that is not too bad as where abusing a car for 50k miles can do some permanent damage. Just a thought.

Q: FoRd MuStAnG!!!?
Looking for Ford mustang!!! I hate chevys. Dodges 2nd best. But Ford has always and will always lead the pack!!! I love Fords!

A: chevys are like tampons every p*ssy has one

Q: Can a 1997 v6 ford mustang automatic transmission fit in a 1995 mustang?
My son want to put a 1997 ford transmission in his ford mustang, his is a 1995. The mustangs are V6.

A: An auto salvage yard has cross-referencing books and can probably answer your question. Yellow pages under “Auto Parts–Used”.

Best regards,
Mike

Q: How much horsepower does a 1966 Ford Mustang have?
I am looking into buying a 1966 Ford Mustang from my friend and I was just wondering how much horsepower it was. I asked my friend but he didn’t know. I could probally find it somewhere. But this is easyer. It is a 1966, coupe, 6 cylinder, automatic transmission, Ford Mustang. It is not a Shelby Mustang. Just a standard Mustang. It needs a little work, but the engine is fine. All orignal parts. Thank you!

Q: What year was this first ford mustang was shown to the public and what year did it come out?
As the launch of the Ford Mustang approached, Ford was confident its new sporty car was on target. Its job now was to let the country know about this new kind of car. The introduction of what popularly would be known as the Ford Mustang was an encompassing and brilliant marketing blitz. America had scarcely seen anything like it.

A: 1964 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First-generation_Ford_Mustang

Q: Ford mustang?
Can I take an older mustang that doesnt have a warranty and use FordRacing parts that come with a warranty and still have that warranty in effect?

A: They do make a limited warranty for Ford Racing aftermarket parts here is a link to there web page explaining more:

http://www.fordracingparts.com/announcements/news47.asp

This explains the warranty policy and what to look for!!!

Q: How do you make a 1995 Ford Mustang manual V-6 faster in the cheapest way possible?
I have a 1995 manual 5-speed Ford Mustang and I was wondering how I could make it overall faster for cheap? By cheap I mean less than $400 a part.

A: Nitrous Oxide

Q: What would the incurance on a 1994 Ford mustang for a new driver?
Im 17 and i seen a 1994 Ford mustang what would the avarage incurance on it be.

A: right around $200 a month….less if you live in the country…

Q: How much will i get for a 1967 Ford Mustang Coupe 3 speed good condition?
I have a 1967 Ford Mustang Coupe 6 cylinder 3 Speed in good condition. I just got the floor, ceiling, and drivers seat redone.

A: Is it 6cyl. or 289 c-code. 6cyl—$4,000 to $6,000. 289—$5,000 to $8,000. good luck

Q: What is the smallest engine size in a ford mustang?
I am considering purchasing a used Ford mustang in the UK. It could be of any age as long as it isn’t too much of a gas guzzler.

A: Early Pintos and Mustang II’s had the German 2000 as a engine until they could get the 2300 manufactured..

Gearbox and Darrin hit it on the head, ..

I’ve owned 4 SVO’s and they are the best 4 cylinder built by Ford…

Have you heard the expression, “Have your cake and eat it too” means the economy of a four and the power of the v8…the turbo lets the 2.3 make the same horsepower as the 5.0

Q: How much would a 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible and a 1963 Mercury Comet cost?
How much would these two cars cost? A 1965 Ford Mustang Convertible and a 1963 Mercury Comet. I want to know the price for each seperately. If you can, give me some links.

A: Mustang – ten to forty thousand..

Q: How much is an original ford mustang 3 speed clutch worth?
I have an original Ford Mustang 3 speed clutch kit; I don’t need it, so I want to sell it, how much should I charge?

A: $50-$125 Me I wouldnt even give you a dime for it (no offense) unless I was doing a full concourse restoration. That clutch material now and back then was of poor quality and didnt hold up well unless you used to get groceries on sunday in pasadena
Kevalar is used in the mix now and holds up real well and lasts

Q: What should be the first modification to my 1989 ford mustang?
i just purchased a 1989 ford mustang and i am looking to make a first modification to it. i am looking for something fairly easy that i can do myself that i can do with normal tools. it already has bbk headers, bbk throttle body, bbk tb spacer, cold air intake, and pipes. So what can i now do to it that is fairly easy to do that will be on the cheaper side?

A: Couple different ways to tackle this question. Easiest biggest mod you could do yourself would be a Nitrous oxide kit. Biggest bang for the buck and you could install it in about 4-6 hours. If you want to go the all motor way I strongly suggest 3.73 gears. You would not be able to install your self but you would notice the second biggest difference next to the bottle(NOS).

Mass air meter is an easy 5-10 horsepower I recommend C&L 73mm, Oil change to synthetics like many have sugested, K&N filter. Bump timing to 14 degrees. Almost forgot pullys.

Do not go for a dyno tune until you change atleast heads and intake and injectors. 5.0’s don’t pick up much more HP from a dyno tune when they are pretty close to stock.

Check out CAfords.com
Stangnet.com
corral.net
All there sites have great info and starting points.

P.S. My experince involves a 93 convertible with a B&G turbo kit that put down 525 HP to the wheels on the stock short block.

I put down 295 NA

Good Luck

Q: Can you remove the oil pan from a 2000 ford mustang without removing the engine?
I’ve recently busted the oil pan on my ford mustang driving over a curb. The Haynes repair manual dictates to remove the engine and transmission when replacing it. Is that necessary or is there any easier way to fix it.
I’ve recently busted the oil pan on my ford mustang driving over a curb. The Haynes repair manual dictates to remove the engine and transmission when replacing it. Is that necessary or is there any easier way to fix it.
It’s a V6 with manual transmission.

A: If you will notice in the Haynes and Chilton Manuals, the cars are brand new without any corrosion or buggered fasteners. The shops are large, spotless and fully equipped. The guy fixing the car is obviously not worried about getting that particular car back on the road so he can drive it to work or the wife to pick the kids up from school.

Haynes and Chilton Manuals are mechanical pornography as they only illustrate the most superficial aspects of the mechanical relationship you have with your vehicle.

But they can be a good start and provide some specifications.

When I replaced the head gaskets on my Ford Windstar I still had to go online and subscribe to Fords online service manual. This was the real deal. Even though I had both the Chilton and Haynes Manuals, they were almost useless.

I recently replaced the steering rack and all my sources said that I had to unbolt and jack up the sub frame along with breaking apart the exhaust system. After a little examination, I found that I could pull it out through the wheel well easy peasy.

Hopefully you will find an easier way to replace your oil pan as I did with my steering rack..

Q: Will the 2012 Mustang GT be any different than the 2011 Mustang GT and do you think they will add more power?
I don’t know whether to get the 2011 or wait for the 2012 Mustang GT.

A: I would wait for the 2012, because the All-New body change is going to make the retro designs the thing of the past. At least you can drive around with a new body style that has not flooded the market.

In regards to the engine the only thing they plan to roll out on the 5.0 is the direct inject, which will pump out 25-40 more hp. The new 6 speed tran is going to be ported over to the 2012. So the new gears that are on the 2011 right now will be fully tested for the 2012.

I know what I’m talking about, because I’ve got people that I know that work on the design and test team.

Q: Can someone give me the full review of the 2011 Mustang?
I’m very interested in the 2011 Ford Mustang but I dont know too much about them. Can anyone give me the review (including pros and cons) of the Mustang and the Mustang GT?

A: …here you go!!! there are pics of the whole car(the rearview too) and info on it here!!!

http://www.autoblog.com/2010/03/29/2011-ford-mustang-gt-first-drive/

Q: What Car is better 2010 Camaro or 2011 Mustang v6’s?
Ok I have asked many questions on hear to see what car is better. My Dad is getting one of them around June. The 2011 Mustang comes out in May(v6 315 HP). He is going to give the car to me when i drive next year. What car is better, more fun, and a good beginners car.

A: mustang pretty much any year made better than any chevy made

go with the ford and you wil be driving it 50 years buy the chevy wil be working on it less than a year

advice of a old man chevys break more than fords
can prove it drive thru any shop count whats there waiting to be repaired bet you see more GM cars then fords

and the chevy’s wil be new an dif there is a ford it wil be yrs older

Q: What Exactly does the mustang security package come with on the new 2011 besides wheel locks?
Hello i ordered a new ford mustang 2011 v6 but the dealer forgot to add the security package and the factory remote starter. they put an off brand remote starter inside. and was wondering if those after market starters tend to fail, also back to the original question. what comes extra with the security package that’s 395 besides the wheel locks? i know it has a factory alarm but ford.com don’t include any other details. any one build these things or have any answers?

thanks!

A: a

Q: Depreciated value of a 2011 mustang after 2 years?
if the stock 2011 mustang is selling for $22,950 New. What would it sell for new after two years still new. I am not very familiar with depreciation values of cars.

A: if it was still new… It wouldn’t change much at all unless of course the new 2013 model that would be out was the same price for superior equipment. If the design remained the same over the 2 years.. it would likely be worth a little less, but it would also depend on warranty.
If it was never sold, then technically the warranty doesn’t start on it until it leaves a lot. so i would guess it would still go for around 20 grand..
If the car was sold, even for a short time, then the warranty would be almost up and your depreciation would be considerably more.. you would be looking at between 16-18 grand.

just my guess, it’s a hard hypothetical with many variables.

Q: Does the 2011 Ford Mustang have an option to add a glass roof?
I know you can have a glass roof on a 2010 Mustang, but what about the 2011?
If they do offer this, do you think it would look awkward?

A: http://www.fordvehicles.com/cars/mustang/features/#page=Feature6
But of course they will! Same car, just new drivetrain. It wont look awkward. Will look the same as the 2010 looks with a glass roof. So check out the website link posted. Will answer all.

Q: Is it true that Ford is coming out with the 5.0 engine for the mustang gt for 2011?
i have heard rumors that ford will bring back the 5.0 engine for the 2011 mustang gt? is it really true?

A: made a 5.0 mustang already about ten yrs ago wouldnt be anything new about that

Q: What upgrades should I get for my 2011 v6 mustang?
I’m deployed and buying a 2011 V6 mustang. I don’t know a whole lot about upgrading them and average prices and effects on HP, torque, sound. What should I get that would make it a little faster without spending too much?

A: well as a fellow V6 owner I can tell you exactly what you need! (and dont listen to all the V6 haters there just a bunch of macho jerks) here is a long list of parts that are cheap and some that are a little more pricy but well worth the price you can pick and choose from there

COLD AIR INTAKE- a cold air intake usually adds about 8-30hp and 10-30lbs of torque depending on what brand you get know this being a 2011 you may not have much of a choice yet but I would look for airaid,K&N and steeda-they are the leaders in this part and cold air intakes can run anywhere from $200-300 this is about as cheap as it gets to getting a nice hp bounus to your car

MUFFLERS- now I would like to congradulate you on finally buying a V6 with dual exhaust its been a long time coming but one thing to not is that all factory mufflers are restrictive due to chambered designs to make emitions more “green” with a cold air intake you get more air flowing through your engine so you have more air going out and with stock mufflers those tend to choke you up a little in the lower RPM’s when stomp the pedal to the floor so i suggest waiting for BORLA to make V6 2011 replacement mufflers only get borla! borla is a little higher im guessing the price should be 300-500 but is well worth it!!! not only do you get better performance about 15-25hp and 20-30 torque but you get a much more agressive sound that does the V6 justice all other competitors make it sound like a rice buring honda trust me i learned that the hard way

SHORT HEADERS short headers are very optional I dont know what you consider “cheap” so ill throw this out there and you can decide for yourself…there are 2 different kinds of headers (that are any good) there are short headers and long headers but for your case im thinking you dont want to major overhaul your car so i suggest short headers now when buying short headers there are coated and just plain stainless steel-stainless steel is what factory is made of and the coated are ceramic coated stainless steel the regular stainless will get very hot -but so does your factory so dont pay any attention to that but if your wanting to really pay for a good part that will make your car last a lot longer get the coated short headers the ceramic coating keeps the engine teperature much cooler and on a long trip or high tress situations after a liftime of a car the stainless steel can erode parts around it like ignition coil, wires and distributors wich is why you see that problem a lot with 100k plus cars…anyway short headers will allow the air to flow much more freely out of the engine going to your mufflers giving you around 10-20hp and 15-25 torque the stainless steel can run about 200-300 and the coated runs 350-500 but are well worth it in the long run

TUNER- a tuner is the NUMER ONE thing to be shure you get for your new mustang If this is the only thing you get for it you wont be dissapointed tuners are about $400 but they are the best thing for your car! they change the way your car runs (im not a tech wiz so i couldnt tell ya) but it changes the way the CPU runs your engine…ford puts rev limiters and all sorts of regulations on your stock tune that slow your car down and make that needle drag just a little slower the one and only place you should buy this product is at americanmuscle.com they are the number one aftermarket parts dealer for mustangs exclusively – i do not work for them im just a happy custumer- they have great customer service and fast free shipping and i said all that to say this…if you buy a tuner from americanmuscle.com they give you cutom tunes from BAMA chips which is a team of guys that run cars on the dyno and are tech wizzes that now how to make your engine run better than you ever dreamed possible if you buy one anywhere else they send you the tuner and no tune and you have to put in all the info yourself hahaha hope your a gearhead and own a dyno machine…so buy a tuner from americanmuscle.com now if you are afraid of voiding warrantee then there is no problem here! get the tuner you plug it into your car and download the custom tune from bama and lets say you have an engine problem plug it back into your car and you can reload the factory tune its that easy! now just a tuner all by itself with add 30+hp and 30+ torque but the cool part about a tuner is that every performance part ive listed it will double the hp and torque gains so if you get a cold air intake that 20hp and the exhaust mufflers thats 20hp and the headers is another 10 your looking at having about an extra 120hp!!!! thats like putting a supercharger on it!!

ooooh and if you have manual transmission I recommend going to steeda.com and getting there short throw shifter for a smoother faster and more crisper shifing I dont have a manual so I really couldnt tell you much about them other than that or even the prices but look at my links below and you can read about them

well unfortunately as a V6 owner we ar

Q: How much would I lose if I traded in my 2010 Mustang V6 for the new 2011 Mustang V6?
Also, the Mustang I have currently is fully loaded.
New engine with about 90+ more HP is very tempting, which I knew before I bought my 2010 Mustang 2 months ago. Approx 1500 miles on the Mustang.

A: that will be tough. If you walk in with $3500.00 cash in hand you might get the trade made. It will also depend on other factors also. Financing, appearance and who got the rebate? You or the dealership. Was it applied to the amount financed or was it pocket change to spend.. that will also cost you. Forget it, keep it, you liked it when you bought it.

Q: Is going past 6,500rpm in my 2011 mustang v6 beneficial?
I have a 2011 v6 mustang with the 6spd manual, according to ford’s website, the engine makes it’s most hp at 6500rpm and its most torque at 4250rpm. Redline is at 6900-7000rpm, so is it beneficial to go past 6500rpm and take it to redline?

A: At the drag strip, you will see your best times by shifting at the redline even though redline is a few hundred RPM higher than the power peak. On the street though, it isn’t necessary.

Oh, and to the guy who said it is pointless to race a V6 Mustang, the 2011 V6 Mustang has 305hp. That’s more than a 2005-2009 GT. It’s also lighter than a 2005-09 GT and has an extra gear in the transmission. The 2011 V6 Mustang isn’t the secretary’s car that V6 Mustangs of the past are.

Q: what would be the speed of a 2011 ford mustang gt?
ok the 2010 ford mustang gt 4.6L runs to 140 mph and it has 315 hp but they’re saying that they’re saying they’re going to replace the 4.6L to a 5.0L on the 2011 mustang gt with 400 hp and 400 torque and i want to know if the speed will be 140 or 150

A: the top speed will be limited @ 140 mph again or 155 mph because of safety standards and insurance purposes for Ford! it is capable of going a lot faster though!

Q: On the 2011 Mustang GT, do all the Mustangs steer the same or are their different steering options?
And should I get the 3.31, 3.55, or 3.73 limited rear slip axel and whats the difference?

A: Same steering system.

The higher the number the better the acceleration and the lower the mileage.

Q: How much would it cost to insure a 2011 Mustang?
I’m a single 18 year old female. I was told that those things make a big difference when being insured.

A: I recommend you this site where you can compare quotes so you can find the best option for you

http://qinsurance.notlong.com

Q: Should I get a 2010 Ford Mustang GT Premium at a big discount or wait for the 2011 Mustang GT?
I know the 2011 has more horsepower, what if I got a good offer for a 2010 at a big huge discount? SHould I get the 2010?
if the discount is 10K, is it worth it?

A: SCREW THAT the 2012 are out, find one of those, there are a few out there, and seems like 2010 everyone has one already get something no one has yet

Q: Is anyone excited for the new 2011 Mustang V6?
Ford put a brand new 305 HP 3.7-liter Duratec V6 engine in that will be getting 30 mpg highway. Idk but that is the same as my 4-cylinder right now. Anyone excited?

A: No. I think they ruined the looks of the new car by reshaping the rear bumper and tail lights.

Q: Around how much would it cost to insure a 2011 Ford Mustang V6?
Will the fact it’s a Mustang mean I get charged a lot. If you think about it, it’s not really more powerful than any of your luxury vehicle engine, and the car isn’t that expensive. But it is called a Mustang. The car is really powerful (305 hp), but it’s not a GT, so will I have to pay an arm and a leg? I pay about $800 a year for my RSX Type S currently.

A: Since you cleverly forgot to tell us anything about yourself, where you live, your age, your driving history, and since we don’t have rate books here, you’ll have to call an agent or company to get a quote; we can’t do it here.

Q: What is the difference between the 2011 ford mustang and the “premium” edition?
Please list all specifications, special features, etc.

A: you mean like 2 extra cylinders, 12 extra valves and 107 horsepower….bigger brakes, swaybars and heavier springs, wheels and tires….upgraded interior the list goes on…

Q: Spiritually speaking, should I trade in my yellow Volkswagon Beetle for a red 2011 Ford Mustang 5 liter V8?
Do you think the girls will respect me more if I turned up in this: http://2011cars.net/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/2011-mustang.jpg

This car has more cylinders than I have inches!

A: I’d respect you more is you rode an environmentally friendly bicycle.Preferably in your tight, latex bike shorts to help accentuate your glorious man equipment.

Q: Which is better (faster) and stronger? 2011 Ford Mustang GT or 2010 BMW 335i base?
the 2011 mustang gt has like 420hp and the 335i only has 300hp. so doesn’t it make sense that the gt would own the 335i? but then how come the 335i costs like twice the price of the ford mustang 2011 gt?
or am i wrong?
1 second ago – 4 days left to answer.

A: The worth of a car is not measured by engine size, horse power or even speed. It’s all about build quality, materials use, overall driver enjoyment, service, residual values, safety, handling, and much more.

What you have with the Ford Mustang GT is a cheaply made Ford. Just look at the amount of cheap plastics used and other low quality parts in the poorly designed interior. The mechanicals are awful too. The suspension and rear axle are horribly dated, any kind of electronic stability and traction control is old fashioned.

In terms of brute force, the Mustang is the clear winner. In a straight line it will, as you put it, own the BMW (although really we are talking less than half a second difference 0-60). But throw in some real life driving, with turns, and you’d immediately appreciate the BMWs poise and handling. versus the clumsy Mustang with its single rear axle.

When you sit in the BMW, you’ll find a classically designed vehicle that has won top ten ranking by Car and Driver for something like 19 years in a row. You’ll see expensive wood, and quality materials. Everything you touch has a feel of quality to it.

You can expect good reliability from the BMW, it will hold its value well, and for the first 50,000 miles you can expect free servicing, even oil changes, brakes and wiper blades replaced for free.

Finally, if you are a grown up, you will realize that in this day and age, racing around in a muscle car so fast you can out accelerate a BMW 335i, is just going to end with bad things. Tickets, loss of license, jail, fines, you name it.

For most normal people, they are going to use their cars for a daily commute to work, and perhaps a trip at the weekends.

The BMW will ultimately be a wonderfully fast and rewarding driving experience. The Mustang on the other hand will always be a young boys racer. The harsh antiquated suspension, noise, and over the top styling, combined with that nasty interior, will grow old very quickly. And when you sell it, don’t expect to do well there. Fords are not great at holding their value. When you try to sell your Mustang, there will be a dozen others just like it, helping to keep your value down.

Finally there is insurance. The Mustangs reputation as being a car for immature males with a racing fetish will ensure they stick it to you on the insurance premiums. The in your face styling will also make you a cop magnet.

Sorry, but there is no real comparison between these two vehicles, I’d take the BMW any day over the Mustang, and gladly pay the extra for that kind of quality.

Q: what is the song that is used in the new 2011 ford mustang commercial?
i just wanted to know what that song is.

A: The song from the Ford Mustang commercial is “Light of the Morning” by Band of Skulls.

You can check out a video of the commercial and listen to the song at the link below:

http://www.popisms.com/TelevisionCommercial/16581/Ford-Commercial-for-Ford-Mustang-2010.aspx

Q: What’s the name of the song that’s on the 2011 Ford Mustang commercial?
All I know is “You gotta go.” My little bro loves that song and i would like to get it for him.

A: song name: Light of the morning

Q: Which is better (faster) and stronger? 2011 Ford Mustang GT or current BMW 335i base?
the 2011 mustang gt has like 420hp and the 335i only has 300hp. so doesn’t it make sense that the gt would own the 335i? but then how come the 335i costs like twice the price of the ford mustang 2011 gt?

Q: does the new 2011 v6 ford mustang have a button for traction control ON/OFF?
im talking about the new 2011 V6 mustang that will be coming out soon. not 2010. thanks.
is the traction control button an upgrades option only on the GT? or on the v6 too? is it in the base v6?

A: It is available. Depends on the options. The v6 has the traction control as an option.

Q: How many gallons per tank are in the 2011 Ford Mustang V-6 Coupe?

A: 17 gal…

Q: Which 2011 Ford Mustang should I pick?!?
Now with the 2011 Ford Mustangs out, I am so in love with them!!!!

I decide to get a 2011 Mustang, except the GT500 (I think they are an over performance for me). The performance of both V6 and GT are so astonishing to me, that I just have to get one!!!! But that is the problem, should I get a GT or a V6?

The V6 has a 4 cylinder fuel economy, with a performance of a V8, with a cheaper price of course. The GT had just took it to the next level, with a performance not far from a Corvette, with a good fuel economy. If it was the 2010 Mustang, I will get a GT of course, the V6 is just a hell to me. Now, with both V6 and GT like that, it is so hard to pick…. Since the only difference between this 2 is GT with the higher power, but V6 with the higher fuel economy. The handling and braking is pretty much the same.

I have already owned a 2006 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 (Got it used so don’t laugh please), and I think I just want a Mustang to cruise but sometime I want to have a blast with performance. With both huge powers, perfect fuel economies, and everything about them is just perfect…. I do not know which one to pick, a V6 or GT. Please Help! Thank You!

A: You are one lucky man to have the chance to choose. Im just hoping i can afford either one. Id say go for the GT (5.0) because every mustang enthusiast and competitor know that the legendary 5.0 is the boss baby. The minute you pull up and they see that blinding 5.0 badge they will shit their pants haha. five-oh all the way +5.0

Q: Looking for a fancy 2011 Ford Mustang?
I want a solid black mustang with the “M U S T AN G” stripe at the bottom. I live in Columbus, IN. Where can i find one, or where can i customize and order one?

A: A Ford dealer once they come out.

Q: What kind of sound system does the 2011 BMW 7 series have?
Is it the Bang & Olufsen surround sound like the A8 2011? If it isn’t how much will it cost to install it?

A: Features of the E38 7 Series included high-pressure headlight washers, auto-leveling xenon HID headlamps, power moonroof, a sound system with 14 speakers and four subwoofers as well as 6-disc CD changer, onboard satellite navigation and rain-sensing wipers. Other features included an automatic climate control system with separate controls for the driver and passenger, a three-position memory system for the driver’s seat, safety-belt height, new steering wheel and outside mirrors. Front-seat side airbags and a Head Protection System (HPS) were also standard. The car featured an all-leather interior with burl walnut trim. The continuous-motion Active Comfort Seat technology was introduced in 1998 to improve comfort and reduce fatigue for the driver and front passenger.

Q: 2011 BMW 7 Series or Audi R8 ?
I will be using this car for everyday driving. No racing

A: Well you’d fit more in a 7 series BMW so go for that.

The R8 is just a rich gay hairdressers car like the TT

Q: Jaguar XJ 2011 or BMW 7 Series X Drive?
One person driving. Which is better for performance and also in cold slippery weather? Also comfort

A: The Jaguar is for show only. I would not trust it in the snow.

BMW has great performance in snow.

BMW would be the best way to go for reliability.

Q: 2011 Audi A8 or BMW 7 series or BMW X6 or Infiniti M56 2011?

A: bmw 7
i like the design a lot better and it has so many features although the audi a8 is more exclusive

Q: swap my BMW for a 4×4 in Ipswich?
I have a 7 series BMW 2.8i that i would like to swap if anyone has a 4×4, pref a Mitsubishi Pajero, mines worth £2500, mot till Jan 2011, tax till May 2010, grey leather interior, 6 cd multi changer, parking sensors, superb motor, need something higher, worth a try, cheers.

A: Sorry Mate,
I got a Mitsubishi Pajero but however tempting a BMW 7 series is I just could not part with my Pajero.

Q: Which of these two cars would you pick??
before reading: These are two cars that have all the same features….

car A- 2001 BMW 740 il in perfect condition, everything is working and the 1 owner that is selling it says he has babied it, and you can sure tell..45,000 miles and he is only asking for $10,000…CHEAP

car B- it is a 2005 BMW 530i it is by owner to and he says it has been taken cared of. … 35,000 miles and 25,000 CHEAP too.

I have done a lot of thinking and I thought since I would be able to save so much more money on the 7 series I might get an extended warrantey on it and pay for its maintanace and all that stuff and pay for its gas….. on the other hand the 5 series still has warenty untill 2011 and it gets free maintanace for a year more….
I would appreciate it if someone could tell me which of theeses cars would it be cheaper to get insurance in.
but which one would you say you pick…

A: between $10000 and $25000 difference?

Hands down get the 7 series car. 45k miles on a 7year old car is like new. You’ll get a nice trade in value if you ever upgrade later.

Q: Can a series 7 stockbroker set up office outside the US?
I am a stockbroker (series 7, series 63) based in Miami, FL. I was wondering if I could legally set up my practice in my home country Pakistan and retain my clients, while working in an independent branch office of my own firm. Is there a way for me to do so? It would be quite convenient as the time difference would work in my favor and with a high-speed internet connection and a Vonage phone line, it would be virtually the same as using my trading system from my Miami office.

A: you can find it in tools on this website http://sitefinance2010.notlong.com/5AAVTP5

Q: What is the equilivent Mercedes to the BMW 7 series?
Just as the title says which Mercedes is most like the 7 series BMW? Thanks!

A: MB equivalent to BMW 7-series is the S-class, while E-class is the equivalent to the 5-series, and C-class is the equivalent to the 3-class. AMG is the MB equivalent to the M of BMW. The 2 main independent tuners of MB and BMW are Brabus (MB) and Alpina (BMW). In MB model the letter means the class and the numbers the engine, so an E320 is E-class with 3.2L engine or S550 is S-class with 5.5L engine. In BMW the first number is the series and the last 2 are the engine, so 540 is 5 series with 4.0L engine or 528 is 5 series with 2.8L engine. Also if the car has 4-matic (MB) and X (BMW ex 530xi) then the vehicle is equipped with 4 wheel drive.

Q: How much would a 1992 7 series BMW sell for?
I may be able to get a 1992 7 series BMW fixed, looking nice inside and out, but would it be worth it, or should I just sell it to a junkyard? How much would this sell for?
I don’t know how much i am selling it for, and i don’t have pictures yet. I’m in the US, in Florida more specifically.

A: Maybe a few grand depending on the condition, without seeing it it’s hard to say. I would suggest having it appraised by someone you know or someone you know of.

Q: How To Set Up The Garage Opening System For The BMW 7 Series?
I have a BMW 7 series, and i want to set up the system to open the garage from the car for my house.
I need the steps how to do it, anyone help please? (:
Thanks

A: 1) park your car directly under the garage door opener inside the garage

2) push the two outside buttons till you see the red light blink or till a yellow light appears, either way the system is clean

3) Put the garage door opener remote as close to the universal radio transmitter (those three buttons on the bottom of your rearview mirror) and push the garage door opener as well as the first button and hold those two buttons down till the red light flashes again.

4) push the first button and open and close the garage door.

If that doesn’t work then call this number 1-800-355-3515 This number is a BMW of North America LLC number. These peoples entire jobs is helping people set up their garage door openers. And the next time you buy a car message me and I’ll sell it to you. Deal?

Q: How would you rate the BMW 7 series?
In about a year from now I plan to upgrade from my 3 series. Was wondering if I should go for the 7 or the Mercedes S.

A: personally, i would just wait for the new 5 series and get that. I know the facelife 7 series just came out, but the new 5 series should be goood. Or u could get a 6 series, wow they are cool. 7 series seriously i perfer the s class. But again it is ur choice, it’s a lot of money so think carefully and it should be what u like not what everyone else likes

Q: How many NHL Playoff series have gone to a game 7?
If there are tons of them, don’t bother finding a number, but a count of game 7 series in the divisional final round would be appreciated.

NHL seems to be saying that this is one of six game-7 series in NHL history here: http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=422520&navid=DL|NHL|Home

But are they just highlighting this series plus five before it?

A: The Flyers must have the other six then

Q: Studying the Series 7. How do you get your foot in the door after you pass the test?
I am studing for the Series 7 exam. This is a new career path for me. It’s a vary thourough home course plus online study.

After I pass the test however, how does one get their foot in the door at brokragage or investment firms?

A: Establish a name for yourself and after that you will be able to have a good entrance.

Q: Does the Samsung 7 Series LCD HDTV have a split screen feature?
I recently purchased a Samsung 7 series television and was wondering whether it was possible to view two programs at once with a split screen feature. Is this possible and if so how?

A: Unfortunately no. Due to the switch from analog to digital programming, most all manufactures have quit adding PIP feature to televisions, as this was primarily used when consumers used the analog tuners built in to the TV’s. This is unfortunate because more and more people are integrating their computer with their Home Theater and want TV/PC at the same time!

Right now I believe the only HD LCD manufacturer with PIP is VIZIO and they have nothing to compare to the 120hz samsungs!…Have faith though, you bought the best there is!

Q: Whats the difference between the BMW series 1 through 7?
Just wondering what the difference between the BMW series are, is it that a series 7 is better than a series 1, and what sort of difference are we talking about?

A: 1 Series = smallest + cheapest
3 Series = smaller + more expensive
5 Series = midsize + even more expensive
and so on…

1 Series: Sub-compact hatchback which is currently sold only in Europe. It’s a tiny little commuter car with your base BMW features. It’s also pretty low on luxury. Cheapest BMW to purchase.

3 Series: Compact-Midsize sedan. BMW’s bread-and-butter vehicle. Awesome handling, four doors and is a competitor with the Lexus IS, Acura TL, Audi A4 and Infiniti G35, among others. Turbocharged engine that makes 300 hp is an option. Price starts reasonably in the mid-30s but gets really high with all those options like navigation and sport package.

5 Series: Midsize sedan which is competitor to Merc E-Class, Audi A6, Infiniti M and Lexus GS. This is for people who want BMW handling + functionality. Base engines puts out 215 hp, but more expensive models like the 550i make 360 hp. Luxurious interior, but once again, is extremely pricey if you add those options.

6 Series: Full-size luxury coupe or convertible, starts in the mid-70s for the coupe and low-80s for the convertible. Navigation and all those creature comforts are standard as well as a 360 hp engine. Is a competitor to Merc CLK and SL, Lexus SC and Cadillac XLR.

7 Series: BMW’s largest sedan and flagship model. Long-wheelbase is optional, and standard leather is Nasca leather. Wood trim varies with trim. Competes with Lexus LS, Maserati Quattroporte, Merc S-Class and Audi A8. Most expensive model is 760Li which boasts around 490 hp and is gargantun.

Z4: Performance convertible. Has only two seats and competes with Merc SLK. Very small and is successor to the Z3.

M models: Performance variations on the line. Akin to Merc’s AMG division, Audi’s S and Lexus F.

X3 and X5: “SAV”s. X3 is compact and X5 is midsize. X5 offers a thrid row seat this year. Base engine is 260 hp and upmodel 4.8i boast 350 hp engine.

Q: How can I sit the series 7 exam without sponsorship by a FINRA organization?
I work in a technology company servicing the financial industry, mainly brokers and hedge funds, and am interested in expanding my financial knowledge in order to understand my customer base better.

Is there anyway for me to sit the series 7 in this situation without sponsorship from a FINRA company?

Thanks in advance.

A: I don’t believe you can. I think sponsorship is a must to take the exam. Is there any chance you have a good relationship with some of your clients…good enough that they would sponsor you?

I think it’s great that you want learn more about the financial industry, but it’s not necessary to take the exam. You could always review the study guides, for example.

Q: Is it possible to take the US stockbroking exams series 7 & 63 even though i live in london?
I want to move to New York to work as a stockbroker but need the series 7 & 63 exams. As far as i can see you have to be sponsored by a US company to take them. I already have my financial regulations and securities exam in England but want to take the US exams over here. Is that possible?

A: “Is it possible to take the US stockbroking exams series 7 & 63 even though i live in london?”

Yes. You may.

PROCTOR are tested in London.

http://www.nasd.com/RegistrationQualifications/BrokerGuidanceResponsibility/Qualifications/NASDW_012998

Exact location:

http://apps.nasd.com/Registration_and_Qualifications/exam/listexamlocs_form.asp

“I already have my financial regulations and securities exam in England but want to take the US exams over here. Is that possible?”

You may want to take 17 instead of 7

Associated persons registered and in good standing with the Financial Services Authority (FSA) in the United Kingdom, or one of the Canadian securities regulatory organizations, would be eligible to take an abbreviated form of the Series 7 examination. The following examinations would be acceptable:

Limited Registered Representative – (Series 17) – 100 multiple choice questions; 2 hours testing time.

*** Again, you must affiliated with an investment firm. Your firm must be a member firm of NASD. If your firm cannot sponsor you, you will not be able to take the test. You will need to “park” your license with one of the firm.
Usually the financial institution want you to work there while you are taking the exam. Thereby, they get cheap labor and you get your education. Otherwise, you will need to pay for your own E&O insurance and admin. costs of operating.

Just in case, you want to be an independent RR. You can visit our company’s site

http://www.royalalliance.com/goindependent/join_index.aspx

Q: What kind of position can an individual with a Series 7 license obtain?
What is the starting salary for and individual with a series 7? Which financial services companies are among the best to work for?

A: You need to be sponsored by a broker/dealer to obtain a Series 7 license. There are many opportunities in brokerage and banking in the fields of operational support and sales for individuals with a Series 7 license, but you need to be employed prior to getting the license.

Q: How old do I need to be to take the series 7?
Currently, I am 17 years old, employed at Merrill Lynch. I am an unregistered client associate. What, if any, are the legal age (and other) restrictions on taking the series 7? Thanks anyone who can provide me with a legitimate answer, I have been scouring the internet and SEC for information.

A: You need to be the age of majority in your state. Most states have their age limit set at 18. (I think one or two states have it set at 21).

In addition, you have to be sponsored by a NASD/FINRA member firm. Your compliance dept will be able to tell you if they will be willing to sponsor you. The study materials usually run about $200, the exam runs about $500, and then you’ll probably need to take the series 63 or 66, depending on your job function, which is another $500 plus $200 for study materials. Then, you will need to be registered in the states where your customers live. For all 50 states, this runs a few thousand dollars a year. So, in other words, your firm may not sponsor you, if they don’t feel that they will not be able to recoup those costs.

In order to take any NASD exam, you have to fill out a form U4 (your compliance dept will set this up for you). Part of this form entails you disclosing any judgements, liens, compromises, crimal records, etc. Depending on if you have anything like that on your record, you may not be able to be registered in certain states, which means that your firm may not feel is it worth their while to sponsor you to take the exam.

If, once you turn 18, they are willing to sponsor you, ask for STC exam prep materials, not Dearborn. Dearborn used to be better, up until about 2 years ago. Now, STC is better. In addition, ask for the test questions to be put online…not on a CD.

Q: Is it mandatory to have a series 7 or MBA to be an investment banker?
I am interested in perusing a career in investment banking and would like to know what requirements are needed. I am a current college student majoring in Finance. I know you are dealing with securities, so I would only assume you need a series license, but I did not know if it would be mandatory. Also, what is the likelihood of a 7 figure income?

A: Depending on your position with an Investment banking firm and they type of client you may not need a series 7 nor do you need an MBA.
HOWEVER is you are goind to have contact with the general public and discuss investment products and strategies you will need to have a license. A general securities license is known as a series 7. People are impressed with titles, so if you want you resume look good, go for the MBA.
The more you put on a resume the better you look, this does not mean the better you are.
Yes you can make 7 figures, if you’re good you’ll be paid good enough.

Q: What financial education/qualifications to I need to take the FINRA Series 7 and 63 exams?
I would like to get into financial dealings -specifically financial planning, tax planning, and college planning. Currently, I have no formal education in business or finance. I saw a job I could potentially put my eye on in a few years – but I would need a minimum of FINRA series 7 and 63 to be considered. I am in preliminary stages of research, can anyone “school” me? Thanks.

A: You would have to be sponsored by a firm to take the exams from my understanding. Since you would have to fill out the U4 or the U 10. You may or may not need a life insurance license depending on what products you offer. It is a very lucrative industry to get into, if you look at the baby boomer generation. I would say just start any where and get the experience to show for. Depending on the firm some look at whether or not you have a college education plus experience.
I have been in the insurance industry for almost a year and I just recently applied for my tax certification and am working on my Series 6/63. The sweetest part is I got my feet wet and I haven’t even gradauted college. By the time I do (couple of months) I may have a better resume then the others.
Good luck!
ps if you wnat more info email me.

Other features included an automatic climate control system with separate controls for the driver and passenger, a three-position memory system for the driver’s seat, safety-belt height, new steering wheel and outside mirrors. i like the design a lot better and it has so many features although the audi a8 is more exclusive

Q: Put these in order of the SvR series from best to worst 1-7?
Smackdown vs Raw
Smackdown vs Raw 2006
Smackdown vs Raw 2007
Smackdown vs Raw 2008
Smackdown vs Raw 2009
Smackdown vs Raw 2010
7 being the worst
Smackdown vs Raw 2011 (if you want)

A: Svr 2008, Svr 2006, Svr 2010, Svr 2009, Svr 2007, Svr original

Q: What if LOST ended its series finale with a killer cliffhanger?
I think I’d kill myself

..and what if it actually wasn’t the last season & after the LOST popped up at the end it faded to SEASON 7 2011

A: Lol, Like sopranos? That really sucked. I think I would kill myself as well or break my TV at least. I’m fairly positive that this is the end, but of course I pray to the Lost gods every night
(after I count my points of course) that its all a big hoax. The producers have been known to screw with their fans occasionally. I don’t think anything bad would come out of another season, I mean that crazy vampire lady is writing another twilight book and we all thought that cow had been milked enough…*sigh….more vampires less Lost.

Btw- I kind of miss Smokey Locke…..and congrats on your Desmond prediction. Amazing really

@girl above me- What are you talking about? You don’t even watch Lost so what gives you the right to say “no one would watch if there was another season”? Of course we would watch. They’re not ending it because they have nothing left to write about (trust me), they’re ending it because the actors have been doing this for several years and most of them feel that its time to move on probably. So don’t speak about things you don’t know about. (And that terminator show was cancelled because it was lame and no one watched it.)

A: Your divisions clearly make sense. The only thing is, I would like seedings based on record to determine postseason matchup and home advantage. Also, I would like the Wild Crad to be retained, maybe follow the NFL system of 2 wildcards and the #3 and #4 seeds playing wildcard teams with a bye for better record teams. That would ensure teams in weak divisions play all the way while teams in stronger divisions aren’t penalised too highly.

Time could be a concern, in which case maybe the wild card round should be a 3 game set or even a one game playoff.

Q: Will Australia win the 2011 WC in sub continent.?
Australia has already a good exposure to Indian conditions and Australia are again coming to play 7 ODI series against India in October 2010.

A: Well, also to add to your details is the IPL…
Through the IPL,they could get even more exposure in India.

Though the favourites for me is India,Australia can be the other finalists for the World Cup!

Q: What are your NHL 2010-2011 Predictions?
I had been waiting 19 days for Ilya Kovalchuk to sign so I can finally make some predictions. Almost all of the big name free agents have been signed so I want to make my predictions now. These are my predictions for the playoff teams from the Eastern and Western conferences.

Eastern Conference
1.Washington Capitals- The Caps are definitely a regular season team and they are in the easiest division in the NHL.
2.Pittsburgh Penguins- The Pens loaded up their defence by adding Zbynek Michalek and Paul Martin in the off season. They will only miss Gonchar on the PP.
3.Boston Bruins- The B’s went out to add scoring which they certainly did. They added Nathan Horton to score around 30 goals, and they drafted Seguin who may become an impact player right away. Tuuka Rask will lead them to edge out the Sabres and Sens for the Northeast Division.
4. New Jersey Devils- Ilya Kovalchuk and Zach Parise will be the go to offensive producers for the Devils. Their defense may be the best in the league with the acquisition of Volchenkov, but I don’t think that their offense is good enough to be the Atlantic division winner.
5. Philadelphia Flyers- They now have confidence ever since becoming the Eastern Conference Champion and they should have a much better regular season despite their bad goaltending.
6. Buffalo Sabres- Ryan Miller will lead the team to another succesful season along with Tyler Myers.
7. Ottawa Senators- They added Sergei Gonchar which will help their PP but Spezza may be traded and Alfie is aging so I think they will barely squeeze into the playoffs.
8.Atlanta Thrashers- With the addition of Big Byfuglien and Sopel they will barely squeeze into the playoffs barely ahead of the Habs, Rangers and Leafs.

Western Conference
1. Vancouver Canucks- I think that this is the breakthrough season for the Canucks. Their offense will be as good as last year’s and with the addition of Hamhuis and the number of players the Blackhawks lost, the Canucks will be 1st place in the West.
2. Chicago Blackhawks- The Hawks, coming off of a Stanley Cup win will be lead by Toews, Kane and Keith to try to win another Stanley Cup. I believe it won’t happen after a large number of players, including Byfuglien have been traded.
3. Los Angeles Kings- LA might’ve missed out on the big ticket free agent of Ilya Kovalchuk, but they have a great young team led by Doughty, Kopitar and Brown and I believe they will win the division over Phoenix and San Jose.
4. San Jose Sharks- The Sharks are always a great regular season team, but with the loss of Nabokov they don’t have a true goaltender. Unless they acquire a good goaltender, I can’t see them winnin the Pacific Division.
5. St Louis Blues- I think the acquisition of Halak provides them with a great goaltender that should be able to lead the young team. I also believe that core players such as Boyes and Erik Johnson will have better seasons and will propell the Blues to a 5th place birth.
6. Detroit Red Wings- Even as an old team the Wings always find ways to win games. Because of that I believe they will edge out Phoenix to be the 6th place team in the West.
7. Colorado Avalanche- After coming off of a very impressive season, I think the Avs group of young players such as Duchene will develop even more. Because of this, I think that Colorado will edge out Phoenix for 7th place.
8. Phoenix Coyotes- After an amazing cinderella run to the post season last year I think they will again make the playoffs. With the loss of Matthew Lombardi, they will edge out Nashville and Anaheim for the last post season berth.

Easter Conference Quarter Finals
Wahington (1) beats Atlanta (8) in 5 games
Pittsburgh(2) beats Ottawa (7) in 7 games
Boston(3) beats Buffalo (6) in 6 games
New Jersey Devils (4) get revenge of Philadelphia (5) and beat them in an epic 7 game series

East Semi Finals
Ilya Kovalchuk makes the right choice in signing with New Jersey as they beat Washington in 7 games.
The B’s FINALLY make it to the Conference Finals in an epic 7 game series with the Pens.

East Finals
The B’s make it up to their fans after an embarassing 7 game series loss to Philly a year ago as they beat New Jersey ing 6.

Western Conference Playoffs
Vancover(1) beats Phoenex(8) in 5 games
Chicago (2) beats Colorado (7) in 6 games
Los Angeles(3) beats Detroit (6) in 7 games
St Louis(5) beats San Jose(4) in 7 games

Semi Finals
Vancouver finally makes it up to their fans by beatin St. Louis in 6 to reach the Conference Finals.
Los Angeles shocks the hockey world by beating Chicago in 7 games to reach the Conference Finals.

Conference Finals
After shocking the hockey world, L.A can’t beat Vancouver in an epic 7 game series

STANLEY CUP FINALS
The Bruins win their first Stanley Cup in 38 years after beating Vancouver at home in a Stanley Cup Final no one will ever forget.

Well, now tha

A: Very smart predictions, but St. Louis and Atlanta are still garbage

Q: Nascar Sprint Cup 2010/2011 silly season predictions?
These are some of my guesses as to what may happen during the 2010 silly season and where the Cup drivers and sponsors will be at for the 2011 season. *please provide your own opinions also*

00- Reutimann already re-signed with the team for next season. Aarons sponsor

09- If kasey kahne doesnt get this ride then i think James Finch will either close the team down/sell it off, or possibly run Landon cassil in the car or another cup driver wanting to race but has no ride.

1- Mcmurray re-signed for 2011. Bass pro shops stays after the success Mcmurray has had this season. Mcdonalds and other small sponsors will be on the car.

2- Brad Keselowski in the #2. *which i disagree with 100%, nothing against Brad but i think the #2 is better with Kurt in it*

5- Martin stays to his contract for 2011.

6- Ragan in his last year with the team in 2011. After 2011, i think Ragan will be out of Cup completly, he hasn’t preformed well except for 2008. I see him going back to Nationwide or Truck full time in 2012, but 2011 he will be back with roush #6.

7- Im not certain what Robby Gordon will do for next season. Hes run a few races with no sponsor, and i know he will not start and park his car. Either he’ll run a lot of races unsponsored or he will run part time or shut down the #7.

9- Marcos Ambrose drives the #9. As far as sponsorship, Stanley tools which they still have another season with RPM signed becomes the new sponsor for the car, basically all the #19 car sponsors join onto the #9 for 2011.

11- Hamlin stays

12- Penske loses verizon as a sponsor, and closes the #12 team. Or if Verizon stays or if Penske finds a new sponsor he will run Justin Allgaier in the car.

13- Papis stays

14- Mobil 1 joins the team/organization since old spice leaves at the end of 2010.

16- Biffle

17- Crown Royal and Valvoline return on the #17 car next season.

18- Kyle Busch

19- Team closes down, all sponsors go to the #9 team. As far as Elliot Sadler. I think he will be driving in the truck series with KHI in the #2 truck for next season. Why i say this you may ask? I think elliot sadler has reached an age where hes just not as competitive as he used to be in the Cup series, yes the #19 team is struggling and has been struggling but i think Sadler needs to be driving else where then cup. Plus he won the truck race at pocono the other day and has had great runs in the truck series for KHI.

20- Logano

21- Heard a rumor that if they can find more sponsors they will return to a full schedule with Bill Elliot next season.

22- Kurt Busch, shell/pennzoil

24- Jeff Gordon, Walmart joins the team *i read on jayksi.com that walmart has signed a deal to work with hendrick next season for all 4 cars*

26- Stremme possibly back? im not sure on this one but stremme is my best guess.

29- Budweiser joins the team

31- Jeff Burton

33- Clint Bowyer

34- Kvapil stays with the team

36- Mears remains at TBR, however i don’t think that TBR may be around come the end of 2011, due to the team having sponsor struggles.

37- Conway and extenze back again.

38- Gilliland

39- Mobil 1 joins as a part time sponsor for the #39 and #14.

42- Montoya gets a different crew chief. I some how dont see montoya and Brian Pattie getting over the Indy incident all to easily.

43- Allmendinger resigns.

46- Yeley remains with the team.

47- Bobby Labonte joins the team

48- Johnson

55- McDowell remains at the #55 but since the team has an alliance with MWR, Trevor bayne runs a few races in the car possibly?

56-Truex Jr

66- Blaney

71- Mike Bliss joins the team. TRG and Bliss worked together in the Truck series a few years ago and had success or moderate success.

77- Team closes shop Hornish goes back to Indy car instead despite that he said he would stay in Nascar.

78- Regan Smith

82- Scott Speed is out of the car as Hendrick has worked out a deal with red bull for Kasey Kahne for one season. Idk why but i have a good feeling that Kasey Kahne is more likley to be here next season then the #09.

83- Vickers retunrs to the team. If he doesn’t Sorenson is named as the new driver.

87- If Scott Speed stays in Nascar, he could work out a deal with Nemechek since the #87 has an alliance with Red Bull

88- Earnhardt Jr

90- IF and thats IF the team gets sponsorship and returns Scott Riggs becomes the new driver for the Car.

98- Menard stays in the #98 car. Or if RCR expands to a fourth team *jayski.com* Menard would drive the car since he carries sponsorship with him.

99- Edwards stays.

*NEW TEAMS*
10- *read on Jayski.com that in 2010 a new team with RCR cars will run Terry Labonte in 3 races – Richmond, Lowe’s/Charolette, and texas. Menard could drive this car for the full season 2011 possibly.

76- *read on jayski.com, that this team is going to be fan owned and fans can buy ownership like stock with the team. Unknown as far as a

A: i definatly think khane is in the 09 it seems a perfect fit, if not the 09 id say most likely a stewart haas third car, or maybe even stewart haas buys finch, and as for the rest, i kind of think its annoying that menard brings his sponsership everywhere he goes and i dont think he will go to rcr anyways, i agree with bud to 29 but i think old spice will go to the 9, i agree with what you said on sadler however i think he will still be in cup driving for a low level team, the 19 will have a new driver maybe landon cassill?
thanks

A: The 5-Series is the best performing and handling and will retain its value FAR better than the other two. Toyota has just announced they’re going to barely have made a profit this year because of all of the problems reported with their vehicles and the amounts of rebates they’ve had to give to keep any sales coming in at all. The most popular aspect of a Lexus today are the number of people staying away from them.

Best of luck. I hope this helps.

Q: Which interleague series not yet played is of most interest to you?
Now that interleague play is about to wrap up for another season, let’s take a brief look back at how it has worked out since its introduction in 1997.

Commissioner-for-life Selig claimed that fans would benefit from being able to see all the teams, instead of just those that populated the same league. How has that worked out?

Amazing! In 14 years of interleague play, there are still SEVENTEEN matchups that have not occurred, specific to one city. To clarify: every team has met all the teams in the opposite league, but not all those meetings have happened at both home cities. (For the sake of simplicity, Washington is credited with the entire interleague history of Montreal, although the Nats have almost covered everything just since the 2005 relocation.)

How can Mr. Selig allow this to continue for so long, eager fans denied their promised opportunities?

Here are the series, specific visitor and home teams, which have not yet happened. (This list was a bit longer, but two got crossed off in 2010.) Alphabetical by home team, AL homes first.

1. Cincinnati @ Baltimore.
2. St. Louis @ Baltimore.
3. Chicago Cubs @ Boston.
4. Atlanta @ Kansas City.
5. St. Louis @ LA Angels.
6. LA Dodgers @ NY Yankees.
7. Milwaukee @ NY Yankees.
8. Chicago Cubs @ Oakland.
9. Milwaukee @ Seattle.
10. Houston @ Toronto.
11. San Diego @ Toronto.
12. Minnesota @ Atlanta.
13. Tampa Bay @ LA Dodgers.
14. Oakland @ Milwaukee.
15. Tampa Bay @ Milwaukee.
16. Chicago White Sox @ NY Mets.
17. Texas @ St. Louis.

That’s right — the Cubs haven’t been to Boston since 1952, when the Braves left town.

Most inexplicable omission to me is Rangers at Cardinals, as they are barely 600 miles distant.

And, obviously, the big one — Dodgers at Yankees. The Yanx have now visited Dodger Stadium twice in interleague competition, but no meeting yet in the Bronx.

So, you represent the fans — which one series should fans DEMAND be on the 2011 schedule? This list MUST be reduced!

If you pick LAD@NYY, name a second. (I fully expect that one to command popularity.)

If you then pick CHC@BOS, name a third.

(And why the heck are the Brewers involved in so many of these?)

A: Ha! You copied and pasted Chipmaker’s question! This is an underhanded dirty thing to do, and I just have one thing to say….

Boy, am I proud of you!
